Amaresh Ramlugan has always been passionate about helping the needy and the less fortunate and serving the community at large. This led him to join the service organization Rotary International since 2001.

He has since, held all offices at Rotary Club level and served twice as President – Rotary Club of Phoenix in the years 2011-12 & 2015-16 respectively. The Club received Gold Presidential Citation in both years.

He has also served as Assistant District Governor 9220, 2016-17 and as District Officer Community Service, District 9220, 2018/19.

He is currently Co-Vice President- Rotary Leadership Institute (Francophone Division), District Officer and is Charter President 2022-23 Rotary Club of Bagatelle. He is Paul Harris Fellow, PHF + 2.
